To expand upon Brandon's advice, I would make the further recommendation of purchasing a Load & Go debit card from AusPost. These cards can be used online, and the added benefit is that you can transfer onto the card the exact amount that you wish to spend. Therefore if you do fall prey to a scammer, they can only steal the funds that you have put on the Load & Go card, not your complete bank account.
